During my time working at Mueller Sports Medicine, I’ve had the pleasure of creating many different types of print materials for advertising. From product flyers to international catalog ads, I’ve worked across a wide range of print pieces with different purposes. My work has appeared in catalogs like NATA, Coach & AD, Henry Schein, Training & Conditioning, Alert Services, Collins Catalog, PFATS, WFATT, and more. I’ve also created product flyers to help inform teams, physio clinics, and everyday people about our products.
CATALOG ADS
When creating ads for sports catalogs, I had to think closely about who would actually be flipping through those pages, which was athletic trainers. That meant designing with a wide range of needs and environments in mind, from school programs to professional settings. I focused on what would catch their attention quickly, what information they would care about most, and how to present products in a way that felt practical and relevant to their day to day work. The goal was to make each ad useful at a glance while still standing out in a busy catalog layout.
PRODUCT FLYERS
For the product flyers, I was tasked with updating our older designs that felt outdated and were harder to read. The goal was to create something cleaner and more structured, with a more medical and clinical feel compared to our catalog ads. Since these products are medical devices, the designs needed to look professional and trustworthy first. Some flyers also had alternate versions that leaned more toward an athletic audience, but still kept that medical tone so they stayed accurate to the product and brand at Mueller Sports Medicine. The focus was making them clearer, more modern, and easier to understand at a glance.
Small print catalog ads
For the smaller ads, like half page and below, space is obviously limited, so every element has to earn its place. No matter the size, I always make sure the information is clear and readable first. That means being really intentional with hierarchy, type size, and layout so nothing feels cramped or confusing. The goal is to communicate what matters quickly while still making the design noticeable, even at a much smaller scale.
PROGRAMS USED
Working on printable ads is something I really enjoy because I love physical media that people can touch and interact with. I’m very grateful to have had the experience of creating materials used both nationally and internationally. Communicating to a wide audience in a limited space is always an exciting challenge. As long as I get copy text of course.
